School is back in session and that means more miles on your vehicle. Whether you are driving your kids to school and activities or if you have a teen driving themselves, now is the time to stay on top of these basic maintenance items. MAINTENANCE 101 Oil Change – Back to basics, the oil change is the most common and necessary part of routine maintenance. You should change your standard oil and filter every 3 months or 3,500 miles and you should change your synthetic oil every 6 months or 5,000 miles. Car Battery Check – Don’t get left stranded with a car that won’t start. A car battery has to be replaced every 3-5 years. Get your battery checked to make sure it is holding a charge.
